Ask Don — Don P Archive

AI recovery companion

Ask Don

I’m an AI interpretation built from Don P’s recorded talks—not Don himself. But I can sit with a question the way his talks often did: honestly, with a little humor, and with an eye toward the next useful action. What’s going on?

Questions, recent conversation context, and answers are normally processed by an OpenAI GPT model, with Cloudflare Workers AI available as an automatic fallback. Each successful question and answer is retained in a private archive that has no public website access. Please do not include names or identifying details. Responses are not medical advice, sponsorship, or official statements of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Bring a real question

The persona works best with something concrete—a passage, a resentment, a sponsorship question, or a place where knowing and doing have come apart.

About this persona. It uses server-side semantic and full-text retrieval to select question-specific excerpts from the transcript archive. Those excerpts and recent conversation context are normally processed by an OpenAI GPT model, with Cloudflare Workers AI available as an automatic fallback. Successful question-and-answer pairs are ordinarily retained in a private archive with no public read access; an answer may still be returned if archival storage fails. It does not recreate Don’s consciousness, certify Big Book interpretations, or speak for Alcoholics Anonymous.
